XMi Technology professionals inspect your facilities, make recommendations, and implement changes to establish an appropriate network infrastructure prior to new network infrastructure installations. We will assess your current network connectivity, router setup and configuration, hubs, switches, cabling, security firewall configuration, and network operating systems. Our comprehensive Network Assessment also provides:

• Inspection of facilities, cabling, and environment to support new infrastructure components
• Drawings depicting optimal placement of infrastructure components
• Recommendations for facilities changes including cabling, equipment mounting provisions, security needs, construction requirements, and power conditioning

In addition we will proactively review your overall network on a quarterly basis and recommend any needed changes in equipment, software, procedures, etc.

Network Design

XMi Technology will work with you to develop a customized strategic plan that details your current and future IT needs. If you are a new company and don’t have a network yet—or if you have one that needs updating—XMi Technology will recommend a plan for the types of hardware and software you need, provide a budget, and document how the components will work together.

Installation & Integration

Considering the financial commitment you're making in IT infrastructure, it's critical to leverage your investment beginning day one. XMi Technology Deployment Services offers a suite of installation and integration services designed to minimize disruptions to your business operations during rollout and maximize the continuous operability of your IT infrastructure.

XMi Technology will install system hardware and software (e.g., servers, clients, routers, hubs, switches, and firewalls) as well as the software (see below) required to support it (operating systems, mail servers, anti-virus, etc.). We can also handle the installation of cabling, and telecommunications services (e.g., DSL, ISDN, frame relay, or leased lines), and ensure that your network is working exactly as planned

Relocations, Additions, Changes

XMi Technology provides ongoing support within your IT infrastructure by relocating and or upgrading existing equipment or installing new equipment in selected locations. Our customer engineers can be quickly deployed to your site(s) to move or upgrade your network and systems equipment. Upgrades can be as simple as memory and processor upgrades or as complex as entire chassis replacement when port limitations (or the like) occur. In such cases, XMI Technology professionals can help you choose the right components.

When moving equipment, XMi Technology customer engineers first survey the new location to ensure it is properly prepared to accept the equipment. Then our experts de-install your equipment at the first location, pack it, and make arrangements to have it transported to the new location. At the new location, we reinstall your equipment and ensure its proper operation. We can manage your entire project, ensuring your equipment relocation and upgrades occur on time and within the imposed budget.

XMi Technology also provides a report that details the changes made within a customer's IT infrastructure, lists the hardware that was moved and the corresponding new location, and any upgrades/modifications made to the hardware and software.

This service allows IT resources to focus on critical projects and prevents disruption to a your operating environment. XMi Technology will also ensure that the customer's database configurations are kept up-to-date and all equipment is recorded and accounted for in a customer's environment.

Software Implementation and Migration

XMi Technology provides implementation and migration services around Microsoft or UNIX Operating Systems based on an analysis of your IT infrastructure environment. Services include Windows and Exchange migrations, domain and server consolidations, and active directory implementations.

XMi Technology will develop a project plan that details your implementation and/or migration schedule and will provide a report that details the implementation and/or migration results. This service provides a single point of contact for all of your hardware and software support needs, allows your IT resources to focus on mission critical projects, minimizes disruption to your normal business operations, and ensures that your users have current software to effectively perform their jobs.
